Intergenerational movement classes

Regular improvisation & contemporary dance classes at Chichester Memorial Hall.

Led by a range of Flexer & Sandiland’s supportive teachers, our intergenerational classes are designed for those aged 55+ and open to adults of any age without or with dance experience.

Sessions are designed to:

• develop awareness of our anatomy 
• develop connection to our bodies and each other through use of imagery and playful exploration
• build confidence and social connection
• develop technical and creative skills

Classes will lead you through gentle movement improvisations and simple exercises that are accessible to all.

Classes often lead towards performance projects which are free of charge and of course optional for participants to take part in. For example some of our class participants recently performed with our digital dance installation An Obscure Camera at The Place London and at Wavelengths Festival, Folkestone. We will be restaging this work with participant for Wavelengths 2027, this time at Screen South Dover.
