Smile in Sandgate
Smile in Sandgate is a vibrant workshop and after-school club dedicated to fostering creativity in a fun, welcoming, and inclusive environment. Sessions are run by an experienced former childminder with up-to-date DBS, health & safety, and first aid certifications, ensuring a safe and caring space for all children.
Holiday Club – Drop-Off Sessions
Smile in Sandgate offers fun-filled holiday club drop-off sessions from 10am–2pm, combining creative crafts with party games.
Sessions will run this half term from 17th–20th February, with activities including T-shirt and jumper decorating, cross-stitch, puppet making, picture frames, and more.
Lunch and drinks are included, and the cost is £25 per child.
After-School Clubs
Smile hosts engaging after-school sessions from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday to Thursday.
At a cost of £12 per session, these clubs offer a safe and inspiring space for children to unwind and be creative. For local families,
Smile also provides a convenient collection service directly from Sandgate Primary School.
Refreshments
They offer a selection of hot and cold beverages alongside healthy snacks. To ensure everyone is catered for, a variety of gluten-free and vegan options are always available.
Creative Workshops
Participants can explore a wide array of hands-on activities, ranging from traditional arts to modern crafts. The activities include:
Crafting & Sensory Play: Mobile making, bookmark crafting, and working with slime or clay.
Textile Arts: T-shirt and jumper decorating, embroidery, cushion painting, and superhero cape and mask making.
Artistic Techniques: Pastel, watercolour, and pencil drawing, as well as painting.
Parties and Events
Smile in Sandgate also serves as an excellent venue for private celebrations. They can organise tailored party events for up to 15 guests, providing a full service that includes a buffet and party bags.
Monday Games Night
Every Monday evening from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm, the space transforms for Games Night. This event invites like-minded board game enthusiasts to gather for a social evening. Everyone is welcome to join for a fee of £10, which includes one drink and a selection of nibbles.
