Folkestone Rowing Club is based in Sandgate and welcomes both experienced rowers and complete beginners who would like to give rowing a try. The club is a popular meeting place for locals, with a welcoming bar overlooking the beach and a varied programme of events throughout the year. Social membership is also available for those who prefer to stay dry! Regular social events include quizzes, raffles, open mic nights, and themed evenings.

The club hosts a variety of rowing events throughout the year, including the annual regatta, where local clubs compete in Sandgate. Visitors can also enjoy a seafront barbecue and homemade cakes while watching the racing.
