The Tower Theatre
The Tower Theatre is a community theatre and venue in Folkestone, owned and run by the charity Folkestone and Hythe Operatic & Dramatic Society (FHODS). The Tower provides a wide range of entertainment throughout the year, including both professional and amateur productions, as well as an annual pantomime.
The theatre was converted from a former Garrison Church at Shorncliffe Camp and has been operating as The Tower Theatre since 2007. The venue boasts a 300-seat auditorium and a large foyer that serves as a function area, complete with a bar. The theatre and foyer are available to hire for a variety of functions, including weddings, parties, and corporate events.
The Tower Theatre is run through the energy, skill, and enthusiasm of its volunteers. New members are always welcome, with many opportunities available to get involved. The FHODS Youth Section also stages performances throughout the year and meets every Sunday evening.
