The Tower Theatre
The Tower Theatre is a community theatre and venue in Folkestone, owned and run by the charity Folkestone and Hythe Operatic & Dramatic Society (FHODS). The Tower provides a wide range of entertainment throughout the year, both professional and amateur, including a Pantomime.
The theatre was converted from a former Garrison Church in the Shorncliffe Camp, and has been running as The Tower Theatre since 2007. The Tower boasts a 300 seat auditorium, and has a large foyer that serves as a function area, complete with a bar. The theatre or foyer are available to hire for all kinds of functions, such as weddings, parties and corporate events.
The Tower Theatre is run on the energy, skill, and enthusiasm of its volunteers. They welcome new members to get involved, there are many jobs and ways to get involved, find out how to get involved. The FHODS Youth Section has performances during the year and meet up every Sunday evening.
