Mr Whippet’s Café is a coffee place on the Sandgate High Street. Serving award winning speciality coffee, fine teas, hot chocolates and a tasty selection of handmade bites.
Our food menu consists of sourdough toasties made inhouse using locally baked bread. Artisan handmade locally sourced sausage rolls and award-winning quiches. We have a wide range of freshly baked pastries, vegan cakes, cookies and buns. Many of which are made locally such as our gluten free cake range and our Scandinavian buns and crowns.
We also specialise in ceremonial grade Japanese matcha, having it transported from Japan and hand ground by experts in London for extra freshness and superior taste. The matcha we serve is never hand ground more than 3 months ago- this sets us apart. We prepare matcha in the Japanese traditional way, using a handmade chasen. We serve it as a latte or traditional usucha and koicha. Perfect for the Summer months, we serve iced matcha and our renowned signature summer matcha drink, with tonic water over ice!
We have a cosy back room with seating, seating at the front and outside on the pavement which is shaded in the Summer. Come see us for a very warm welcome.
