Sandgate boasts some very fine places to eat and drink. There are many take-aways ranging from the traditional fish and chips to a spicy Indian or Thai. We are lucky to have a fine baker which produces delicious fresh loaves at the Farmers’ Market every two weeks. Sandgate has some lovely pubs and restaurants which are cosy and serve fresh local produce. There are really good gourmet burgers, homemade pies and steaks on the menus. All of the pubs and restaurants offer vegetarian options and some are dog friendly too!

Dockers is a rustic bar that sells a selection of their own unfiltered lagers, and American Pale Ales brewed in at the Docker Brewery, West Hythe.
